NSW = Sooksy La La’s

Published by SJ under General

I have decided I hate anyone who celebrates NSW as their home. They are all a bunch off self-absorbed show pony niffs. What is with this absolute demand that their opening batsman Phil ‘the overrated’ Jaques slide into the test opening spot? It’s not enough those whinging blues have managed to get Michael ‘sniff bingle’ Clarke in the side…. now they are whinging and moaning more than Shirvy at a fat camp. As far as I am concerned promote one of the lower order blokes to opener and blood another lower order batsman in the comfort and protection of a Hayden spearheaded run feast!!

On to other matters, bowlers. Stuart ‘MaGooo’ Magill, whilst he is an uppity, smart mouthed, big nosed, know it all I hope he gets selected over Brad Hogg. Even if it is just to see his record tumble from one comparable to the great Shane Warne (all bow) to that of Tim May. I can also see Mr MaGoo leading the players association as well, he has always been such a players player…. much like Mathew Elliot.

Early tip for the Victoria Derby – Bammegera, absolutely flew home in the AAMI Norman Robinson Stakes on Caulfield Cup Day and is primed to take the Derby at good odds this week.

At What Price…..

Published by SJ under General

The first part of a crucial human experiment was recently conducted at a pub. A substitute for a $20 dollar note was inserted into a toilet urinal and the plan was to time how long it took before said $20 dollar note was raised from the depths of the urinal by a fellow customer.

We did not see who retrieved the note but rest assured, the note was gone within 5 minutes.

I would be interested to see the results of the same experiment with a $10 dollar note in place of the $20. Then a $5 dollar note…. Would it get to coins before the money is left in place?

At what price would you consider plunging your hand into a urinal to retrieve money?

The aftermath

Published by SJ under General

Well that dam El Segundo did it! He seems so inconsistent I can never be sure which El Segundo is going to show up on a given day. We know who showed up Saturday! I got bashed from pillar to post in the Cox plate and am confident if there were a prize for the last four I would have taken the title. In other races Max and I combined nicely to secure a few winners in Adelaide, Rockhampton and Perth. The best performance for us on the day was an un-raced two year colt old called Amelia’s Reason in Race 3 Ascot. Out of Tycoon Miss by Rory’s Jester he travelled at the back of the pack over the 1000M then showed some great speed to flash past the entire field for a comfortable win. Not an overly fast time for the 1000M (59.68) but the last 600 was reasonable (34.77). I will be waiting for its next start with money in hand.

A big cheers goes out to the Doctor who allowed us to watch the races at his new bar. Racing on the big screen, TAB screen projected onto the wall and the beer was the right price. Excellent work!!

A great day of racing coming up this Saturday and I can hardly wait!! Efficient v Miss Finland v El Segundo v Marasco v a couple of good rough outsiders in Niconero and Lad Of The Manor.

I would love to hear your thoughts and reasons about who is going to win this great race.

I don’t think I can or will decide until Saturday morning but look forward to it BIGTIME!

Bathurst 1000 – Chinese F1 GP Double

Published by SJ under General

Smart punters would have taken the running double of Lowndes – Whincup into Kimi Raikkonen for todays two main races. If you had been smart you would be enjoyng the sentational 12.5-1 odds I was able to secure. Bad luck to those cough* Reeeeegitz who got on Richards – Winterbottom and watched them crashed out when a little bit of rain started!

You absolute NIFF Reeeeegitz

Published by SJ under General

As if it wasn’t enough that you had niffy tendencies. You have to prove your complete Niff-ability by listing El Segundo as a better horse than Marasco.
