I didn’t quite get the $800,000 talked up. Infact, by the time I went to put the Peter Lonard part of the bet on it was already closed, luckily.

My count is that I got 12 out of 16 for the weekend, including missing out on a 17 to 1 shot which as anyone who has ever punted knows is on its own, hard to get.

Special note to Peter Lonard, you ok mate? You have dissapeared off the face of the Earth.

Next year I vote for someone I have EVER heard of to win the Masters as well.

I received my Ebay purchase in the post on Friday completing my first foray into the world of Ebay. It was very easy as I had previously set up a Pay Pal account and this was the preferred payment method from the seller.

I had chosen a ‘buy now’ product rather than bartering for a bid item that is likely to be second hand and possibly flawed. So after clicking the buy now button I followed the 3 or 4 easy steps and that was it, done and dusted. There was no need to drive from store to store looking for this unusual product it was a matter of clicks away.

After the product had been ordered I was concerned that the seller will take my $90 odd bucks and not send the item but those fears were allayed when the day after the online purchase the seller emailed me advising that the item had been posted.

A couple of days after the online purchase a mail plane crashed into the ocean loosing all of its cargo and for a short period, I feared that the fickle finger of fate would have its way with me.

Everything came together Friday afternoon when I arrived home and there sitting at the base of the letterbox was a thick envelope with what looked like something I had been waiting for. I took it inside, opened it and to my excitement all was in order. The product had been suitably packed, addressed and sent. It had arrived in tact and in complete working order.

Ebay rocks, its true, its DAM true.
