Drugs and our Olympians

Published by SJ under General

I am not accusing anyone, just as our athletes aren’t. But I find it rather annoying that our athletes, while being careful with their comments, are trying to suggest that they may lose events at the Olympics to people who take performance enhancing drugs.

As if it were fact that none of the Australian athletes are on any drugs apparently a lot of the athletes from other countries are.

The actual fact is that none of us know who is on drugs and who isn’t. We don’t even know if ANYONE is on drugs. Until proof is given then all athletes are in the clear. But the way our ‘Aussie battlers’ are talking, pretty much anyone who beats us in an event in which Australia is expected to win must be by suspected.

Fairs fair, if your willing to suspect, you must be willing to be suspected and in no way can accept that our opponents are on drugs but none of our sportsmen are. It defies logic and is one of the stupidest things I have heard recently.

Do we really think we are just more honest than the rest of them?

Cadel Confirms

Published by SJ under General

As the only person in the whole of Australia who correctly predicted that Cadel Evans would choke in the Tour de France I will now take your applause. Not because I am right about the result but because I can spot a choker at 30 paces. As per my predition on the 21st of July in Choke-a-thon

All you doubters and true believers can kiss my little friend.

Sonny Bill Williams Gooooonnnee

Published by SJ under General

Softy Boiled Williams can disappear and should never be welcomed back if the latest rumour of him abandoning the NRL is true. What a dirty rotten piece of snot he may be. Talk about getting the wrong people around you and allowing fame to go to your head.

Here is a young kid who has taken his tremendous talent and thrown it in the face of the very people who nurtured and supported him. Fair enough if you were at the end of a contract and made a decision, but this is different. He has just signed a new deal for big money to play on with a new contract but seemingly because things aren’t going well and the team isn’t winning, he is up and leaving.

I hereby issue and open challenge to meet Softy Boiled Williams in a cage fight. Then we might see where a chiselled body and ability will get you…. A floggin!! Its time you learnt boy, you aint bigger than the game! You ain’t bigger than shit, hell you ain’t bigger than one of my shits!

Man Drought?

Published by SJ under General

As I flicked through the dial last night I happened on the end of the truly hard hitting news show A Current Affair. As I pondered suicide a story come on about women in their 30’s being unable to find a partner due to an apparent “man drought”.

Amusing as this was I thought I should watch the story to see what scientific evidence they had to back up this drought claim. The only ‘evidence’ presented was the testimony of 3 women who have scoured the dating scene and come up empty, thus the conclusion of a drought. The cause of the problem is that apparently the men prefer the younger women and no one is interested in the slightly older women. Thank you captain obvious! My concern is that these women are unable to deduct that they should be pursuing men older than them ie. The 33 year old male prefers a 23 year old partner perhaps these women should be chasing the 43 year old men?

But that won’t do, these women are unwilling to accept that. Unfortunately these women (I love saying that by the way) these women refuse to accept the fact that they have painted themselves into a corner.

Their biological clocks are running out of battery power
Their looks are slowly ummm lets be nice ..changing
They are not rich enough to buy a house and have a sperm donor baby
Their personalities are ‘borderline’ proven by the fact that they are still single

And they think that men are going to go out of their ways to imprison themselves (get married/shack up) with them?

It is the man with the upper hand in this negotiation and it is time you started to understand your position. You won’t attract a suitable mate with the heifer type behaviour you continue to employ. Maybe you should take a class in ‘how to please men’?

Ladies, the ball is in your court.

Confused Average Australian

Published by SJ under General

I read an article recently which made some interesting statements about the financial position of the average Australian.

Apparently it breaks up as follows

You have a house valued at $458,488.00
You have a mortgage valued at $341,000.00
You have a credit card debt of $3,085.00
You earn a massive per week salary $1,124.50 ($826.00 after tax)
And apparently you are worth $250,000.00

As per normal the average Australian is obviously a hooch smoking liar or someone is confused (and I am not ruling myself out here).

Confusion 1

House value $458,488.00
Minus mortgage $341,000.00
Total equity $117,488.00

So most of Australia has another $132,512.00 sitting in super, the bank or in possessions somewhere…… That dog don’t hunt

Confusion 2

Mortgage $341,000.00 +
Credit card debt $3,085.00
Total $344,085.00

Cover this with a 9% interest rate $2,580.00 per month (interest only loan)
With a take home pay of $3,580.00 per month

Apparently the average Australian can survive on the remaining $1000.00 per month. Not hard you say, somehow fuel, insurance, food, rates, electricity and every other expense can be covered by $230.00 per week? Once again the hoochie coochie is clearly disturbing someone’s perspective.

Maybe I am all mixed up here or maybe you chaps have some special ‘bookwork’ or ‘creative accounting’, if you will, to account for this?

I will be happy to hear suggestions and look forward to entering the housing trap… I mean market.

Choke-a-thon

Published by SJ under General

It has been an absolute choke-a-thon in individual Australian sport over the weekend and I am concerned it may continue.

Greg Norman took the gas in the last round of the British Open. A most expected performance from me but it seems some people out there are surprised by this. The shark has not been put under competitive pressure for some time and it should have been fully expected that he would wilt. I love the shark and hope he can get himself under control for the Senior British Open.

Casey Stoner has been impressive in his performances against Valentino Rossi to date but he faltered at Laguna Seca this morning. With clearly the faster bike Stoner was unable to put a good enough pass on Rossi to secure any sort of gap. The Italian just kept sticking his front wheel straight up the inside of Stoners any time he tried a pass. Eventually young Casey secombed to the pressure and tipped it over in the gravel trap but to his credit he fought on and was able to secure second place in the race.

This brings me to rider Cadel ‘the answer’ Evans who overnight choked the chicken and lost his lead in the Tour de France. I knew from the moment this bloke was trotted around in front of us at the Melbourne cup last year that he was destined to choke and unfortunately it has come to pass. All I could think of at the time was “why are they treating this bloke like some sort of hero? He finished 2nd in the Tour de France, he didn’t win!!” sure it was a good effort but to the victor go the spoils.

Maybe that is what is causing the mental issue with Australian sports people, a public that is too supportive of them? They are too SOFT!!!! I propose a new type of public recognition, if you lose, you get no money whatsoever, no prize money, no government support, no sponsorship money NOTHING!! You are a loser and deserve nothing. This might limit the number of hard-luck stories that we are forced to endure throughout the year. Instead of “that poor bugger, he lost Wimbeldon in five sets” the public can be happy with the hundreds of thousands of dollars in tax windfall he won us for second place whoooo hoooooo!! And suggest to the athlete “bad luck champ, at least you will make sure of it next time loser”.

Thoughts?
