I am not quite sure what all the fuss about this Belinda Neal is all about. Here is a description of what I believe the current affairs shows are salivating about.

She had dinner with her husband at some restaurant and wasn’t too happy about something at the end of the night. She angrily suggested that her opinion was far more valuable than that of the restaurants staff. Her major sin that night appears to be asking the question “Don’t you know who I am, don’t you know who I am?”

The next day or soon after she felt embarrassed enough about the situation that she denied it ever occurred and then tried to forcefully influence her friends and work colleagues to lie for her and support her denial story.

That worked until one of her work colleagues decided that she wanted to side with truth, justice and the media way and went public with the truth.

She has since refused to speak with police.

Then complained of assault at the hands of a television reporter.

And now has been told by our fearless leader to speak with police.

I guess I don’t want our politicians covering anything up but to think that Ms Neal is the only one ‘covering things up’ is a little bit naive. Unless she stabbed someone or was wielding an axe I just don’t understand the interest in this story.

Regardless of my interest, I believe I have found Ms Neals long lost little brother in English comedian Ross Noble.
