I realise that the storm at the Gap earlier this month was pretty bad but the following movie shows some pretty good stuff. I have been through a few cyclones and this is a short burst of what some of them are like.

The next one is a cool lightening strike I found last night. There is a bit of swearing but turn your speakers up if you want to experience the full spine tingling experience of a close lightning strike.

A lock it in Eddie special will occur tomorrow night and Saturday if you want to secure odds of 5.25 to 1.

I strongly recommend you pump your hard earned into Blacks a Fake running in the last Miracle Mile at Harold Park. Old Blacky has drawn well and Natalie Rasmussen has him cherry and ready to tear it up.

I then recommend you all up this win into Apache Cat running in the Winterbottom Stakes in Perth on Saturday. In a track gallop against favourite Takeover Target a week or so ago The Cat looked good closing in on Takeover at the line. Interestingly the closing 600 meters for Takeover was clocked in the very low 34 second area while The Cat clocked a scorching high 33 second time with a jockey carrying some 14 more KG!!! Outstanding.

If this isn’t the best tip you have ever had then I am not here.

Did Andrew Symonds murder someone? Did he bash them? Did he touch them on the arse? I am not sure if he did any of these but I understand he did tell someone to leave him alone. Is that now the crime of the century?

Or is the crime that fact that he was having a beer?

Given the fact that this occurred in a public bar I find it difficult to believe he would have made these statements had events have occurred otherwise.

Reports from ‘other’ sources quote Symonds as being loud and obnoxious with friends distancing themselves from the situation. Last I checked, neither of these were illegal.

Please oh please leave the big fella alone, we need him at 100% for the Adelaide test on starting on Friday.

FYI New Zealand are paying $11 the win. The way Australian sport has been going lately this seems a little over the odds to me.

I watched in a quiet acceptance Saturday night as a fiery New Zealand side soundly beat Australia in the world cup final. It was good for the game of Rugby League that another team has finally won this tournament. It possibly could have been better if Great Britain had won but I can accept New Zealand also. The only bad thing for me personally was that many of the evenings loaded up multi sports bets.

The Haka at the start with the Australian team walking up to face off with the Kiwis was ‘hair standing one end’ type stuff for me and something that I hope is accepted and continues respectfully in the future.

I was most disappointed to hear reports that Australian coach was somehow unhappy with the referee’s and other officials and thinks that there may have been some bias towards the opposition. Come on Ricky, you annoy the shite out of me most of the time and I think you should very quietly disappear back to the shire and concentrate on helping the Sharks win a few games next year. Leave the big game coaching up to the big game coaches.

Its funny, to of the biggest sooks in Australian sport at the moment have the name Ricky…..

The other thing that seemed a bit wrong out of the whole shooting match was watching Wayne Bennet celebrate so happily with the Kiwi’s. Yes, I know he knowingly took a job to beat his own country but it just seemed so strange having had him on my side for so long and seem him against me Saturday night. I guess I best get used to it.

One thing is for sure, the Anzac day test next year WILL be a complete annihilation of New Zealand, you can put your house on that.

I have a problem. I must have done something wrong somewhere to someone because I couldn’t fall asleep if you dipped me in a tub of Rohypnol.

If I can get to sleep I am fine and you would typically need some sort of nuclear device to wake me. The issue for me is actually GETTING TO SLEEP. I have tried the following to no avail

Warm milk (just leaves a bad taste in your mouth)
Nock-the-topoff-it (doesn’t work for me)
Alcohol (can work but the amounts required may be excessive)
Exercise (not sure who thought this up but they were a niff)
Getting up early (yes lets wake up earlier to cause more tiredness)
Going to bed earlier (yes lets lie in bed tossing and turning longer)
Healthy diet (I tried this in 1997, tis for the birds)
Reading (just gets me think more)
Relaxing music (doesn’t work)
Watching TV (definitely doesn’t work)

I would be happy to hear from you people with suggestions to ease a tortured tired soul.

Well I sit here stunned tonight. Apparently a bunch of Somali pirates have hijacked the above 330m super tanker and the United States hasn’t invaded their country or moved against the ship yet….

Seriously, I am interested in how these chaps think they will be able to get away with it. They hijack a double hulled ship and demand $25 million or they “will take action that could be disastrous” is that all it takes?

If they plan on blowing a hole in the hull of the ship they have obviously never dealt with a double hull before.

Perhaps they are planning on running the ship aground. But again I think the double hull design limits the effectiveness of this action. If they blow a hole in the inner hull and run the ship aground there is a good chance they could create a decent oil slick. It all depends on how much explosive equipment they bought with them.

Other than that, maybe they just intend pump the oil out somewhere…. who knows.

Even if they are able to get the $25 million what do they do then? Hop back in their dingy and sail off into the sunset with the cash. I am sure the owners will just sit back on their hands and allow that one. Perhaps they would take the ships crew as hostages with them, but even then their plan seems to be pretty shaky.

I think there may be more to this hijacking and other hijackings that have been occurring. I don’t know what it is but it just seems a bit odd to me. You blokes?

Another prime example of overtising for the movie ‘Australia’ is currently underway. ACA did an hour long live, investigative, hard hitting expose on it last night and Nicole & Hugh have been shining their teeth all over the networks.

I propose the first meeting of the No-stralia club – People against the movie Australia. To be a member you must have never seen the movie Australia, not find Nicole Kidman attractive in any way and have the conspiracy theory that Baz Lurhman is a closet homosexual. If you can live with all this, then welcome to the club. If not I suggest you duck down the local shops, buy yourself a ticket and become an Overtising appeaser you week minded fool.

And if you show your face around here again I may just land an uppercut in the same proportions as the following one from UFC91. It looks like one of those uppercuts from a video game but this no game. Night night champ.
