Ratings and a general sook

Published by SJ under General

Those bastards at the TV networks got me again. I sit down for the Monday night tv-a-thon that has been presented to us of late and I find out that it’s a repeat-a-thon. Fair cop fair cop, you got me again I have already purchased a Dominos pizza and a Lipton ice tea as a result of your superior advertising skills. If Guerrilla Gardners is a new episode this week I will punch on.

Why the hell is the end of ratings season not made public. Like footy season or cricket season? If I sit through one more re run that I don’t recognise until halfway through the episode I just may start watching the biggest loser. Nooooooooooo!

Oh well at least I have new episodes of The Ultimate Fighter to watch. Yey.

Did anyone take my tip on Fiumicino? If you had it would have covered all the other tips I gave for the day. No, no, just doing my job as a loyal information provider. No need to send a percentage or anything.

I am officially tipping Liverpool to win the English Premier League. At $3.75 I think it would be good to include in some of your more exotic multi leg all up specials.

Can someone tell me what is going on with the NRL. It’s a dead set upset-a-thon! The Gold Coast beating the Storm, the Rabbits beating NZ at NZ, Penrith flogging the Tigers and Manly losing 4 straight. I still trust in the might Broncos over all teams especially those niff Roosters and their brain of a child coach.

Oh and Michael Clarke is SHIT!!!!!!!!

Golden Slipper 2009

Published by SJ under General

Once again the world turns its attention to Sydney for the richest two year old horse race in the world the Golden Slipper. Latest information is that the track with be a minimum Heavy 9 throwing most of the lead up form into the “means next to nothing” basket. I have decided to cut you all a break and tip you in to the majority of winners at Rosehill tomorrow.

Race 1
Ice Chariot has been working well late for a lot of his races now but never coming up with the chocolates. He has no proven wet form but I think tomorrow is his day.

Race 2
Buffett. Simple, I am hungry and this reminded me of food.

Race 3
Glowlamp. Today is a day for horses who have been knocking on the door to get let in. Glowlamp’s knuckles are sore.

Race 4
Forensics. Great horse and I just think he has the measure of all of these on the big day.

Race 5
Fiumicino. Derby winner over same distance same conditions with Beadman back on board. History never repeats? Wrong split enz, wrong. Get on!

Race 6
Good race, difficult decision. With no real confidence I present Pompeii Ruler (had it been dry Light Fantastic)

Race 7
More Joyeous has my $50 free bet locked in. Marquardt as a good each way go.

Race 8
Is Racing to Win back? I think he may be.

Race 9
I quite like Musket as a horse but am not sure about him on the track. Will take on trust.

Go the Broncos Tonight

Go Carlton against the Brisbane Lions Saturday night and

Do something Mark Webber in Malaysia Sunday night SOMETHING!

Dear Mr Bank,

Published by SJ under General

You seem to be a little worried at the moment about the prevalence of criminals using card skimmers at ATM’s (automated teller machines) attempting to steal your clients money. Your are reporting this on the news and emailing out lists of “things to look for” when using ATM’s. You are greatly concerned about the whole situation.

I am sorry, I am a tad confused old chap. You are the ones who made us start using these machines in the first place with your “save you money” sales spiel. You preferred us to use the machine then come in and talk face to face with a person thus losing any control over who was accessing your machines. Then you started charging us for the privilege of getting our money out of one of these machines.

And now you have the audacity to tell us that we need to protect ourselves from these criminals. We need to be vigilant and check for signs that the ATM we are about to use has not been tampered with. We need to look out for cameras, changes to the fascia, holes in the walls or top of the machine, people hanging around and whether you can see the LED’s around the card entry point (if there are no LED’s its bad apparently).

You bunch of dim witted morons, you are the ones who need to protect your machines. How on earth can you idiots expect your customer to wear this crap. We give you our money to hold and protect it, in turn you invest it and earn a return (most of the time) from the money you hold. You used to pay us interest to lend you money but now you don’t. Now you charge us a fee to put money in, a fee to take money out and a fee to check how much money we have in our account. Even if we want the ‘privilege’ of earning interest you force us to move our money from one account to the other and charge us for these transactions also.

I look forward to getting skimmed. I will be suing you for failing to perform the very thing you were created to achieve in the first place PROTECT MY MONEY!!!!!!
