Anyway the following kick occurred during the recent final WEC event in the title fight between Anthony Pettis and then champion Ben Henderson. Unfortunately due to the thunder storm of death I was unable to see the fights but I did manage to see some highlights. For some reason this caught my eye.

The ‘gif’ video doesn’t show it clearly but I can assure you the top (toe area) of Pettis’s foot slaps/lands right on Henderson’s jaw. Not the preferred spot to hit the kick as I believe the shin-base/ankle is harder but in this instance the effects are clear.

The leap from the ground to the cage to the jaw is obviously what makes this kick special and now these dudes are in the UFC it should make these action packed fights even easier to see.
