Could NSW CHEAT anymore?

Published by SJ at 7:21 pm under General

Sif it wasn’t enough that their dodgy as dodgy judiciary allowed Jayryd Hayne to get off scot free from on of the most blatant headbuts in the history of the world they are now trying to tell Qld that they can’t play certain players in their side for the final game.

Could it be any more see through?? Apparently angry Australian Rugby League (ARL) chief executive Geoff Carr is considering asking his board to consider rules which would forbid a player who has signed a contract with another football code to play in league’s showpiece series. But as far as the QRL are concerned Israel Folau is eligible throughout the 2010 season.

Carr was furious, accusing Queensland of putting self-interest ahead of the good of the game when it backflipped on early statements and picked Folau for game two in Brisbane next Wednesday after he’d announced his AFL deal.

You OK Geoff? You all right Geoffrey. Grow a heart you sparrow like ginger meg.

Hey Geoff you cheating sooksy la la. It is clear you are on the right side of the ledger in to many decisions off the field for it just to be luck and I am sick of it!

Take judiciary chairman Paul Conlon for example. This NSW loving NIFF changed the rules in delivering his directions to the judiciary’s three-man panel on Tuesday night regarding the Jarryd Hayne headbut hearing, Conlon said they needed to be satisfied Hayne had intended to cause considerable pain or injury when he headbutted Melbourne and Queensland fullback Billy Slater.

For seven years, under the watch of match review commissioner Greg McCallum, the judge’s directions have simply stated the accused only had to cause discomfort. Now suddenly the rules were modified to ensure NSW have all players available to them to try and cheat their way to victory.

I would love to see what had happened if Darren Lockyer been in Hayne’s position. I guarantee he would be sitting out Wednesday night.

THIS IS CHEATING IN ITS MOST PURE FORM!!

Luckily my years of high school handball taught me that ‘truth prevails’ and I expect another dominant QLD performance!

I’m a NSW fan SJ as you know, but I’m going to agree on the Folau thing. I can’t believe they are crapping on about this. I’d be happy to see them pick players who are playing in Europe to be honest. If they are in the best 17 and are currently playing league somewhere on this planet then they are eligible for Origin in my opinion.

On the Hayne issue though you are as blind as a bat. If it was any other week he would’ve been suspended and rightly so, but you are directing your anger in the wrong place – Billy Slater and the NRL’s fear of downgrading Origin as a spectacle got him off, not the judiciary. If they suspended him then they had to rub Slater out too and that would be a disaster for the game at the moment.

How Queenslanders can bang on about Hayne after Slater got off scot free for punching and elbowing I’ll never know. You are the most one-eyed bunch of simpletons I’ve ever come across.

They both should have been stood down, no worries for QLD…we actually HAVE DEPTH in our squad of available players!!!

I’d have accepted that Tiger, but I’m one of those people who support a more lenient approach to suspensions for rep games or finals, especially for incidents like theirs where no one was ever in danger of seriuos injury. Whilst they both deserved to be suspended if it was just for a normal weekend game I don’t reckon they (or the fans) deserved to miss an origin game.

You can’t have 2 rules though, you need to be consistent and why should these rep players get preferential treatment over other no rep players……….the NRL is a joke

PS. You have so much depth that the QRL backflipped on their decision to drop Folau when they realised that they were going to have to play a back rower on the wing if he didn’t play……

You are looking at it from the wrong angle. The NRL doesn’t give a toss about being fair or unfair to Slater & Hayne or any other player. The way I see it, by letting them play, they NRL have shown preferential treatment to an Origin game over a normal weekend fixture, not a rep player over a non rep player. Origin is a massive drawcard for the code and deserves to be treated differently. Those 2 players are merely pawns and are being used to make sure the spectacle is as exciting as it can be. If they didn’t play it’s actually the fans that pay the price.

Hopefully Slater will have a dust up with Haynes and insert a digit or two.

    5 – NIL!

A student finidhing high school in NSW this year would not have seen a NSW series victory throughout their High school years. NSW are breeding the next generation of losers. The AFL will take over in NSW.

No one likes to lose. What is that like Fitzy & DIpstick?
