As for Gold Edition!! – what did you actually back in that race SJ? I assume the Gaints will go the same way as India and GE. Far better off backing ‘Divisive’ in the Hunter Cup (doubled into Aussies in the Cricket to repeat the shalacking of Friday), what the hell let it ride into the Superbowl on New England to win by 13 – 18. Fortunately I’m not a betting man.

Just say a seedling costs $20, and they spend $1000 on a tree ‘expert’ to assess the old trees. For that money they could have bought $50 new trees. And it doesnt matter if the figures change, the divide will still be huge for those of you who wish to argue specifics (yes, that means you IASM). Trees dont live forever, some last 20yrs, some last a few hundred – they have natural life spans just like people do. It also seems a bit hypocritical since we clear large amounts of the forest every year – saving a few Jacarandas wont make any difference at all.
How do you just remember burying bombs? Was it so traumatic that after he did it he blocked the whole incident from his mind and it has now come back to him in flashbacks? If they dig it up and cant find them, perhaps he should pay for the whole exercise? Cant they use a metal detector?

Surely you don’t want to cut trees down unless it is necessary. In this day and age of environmental concerns every tree is important and consideration should be given before just chopping them down. I am a greenie from way back though. You should be happy that your council cares enough about the environment to make the investment to investigate this issue.

As for the airport, I am not sure you should be making jokes about that. It’s pretty dangerous if the bomb story proves to be true.
