Global Warming
The sky is falling, its global warming. I can’t get a girlfriend, its global warming. The screen writers guild is on strike and my favourite TV show is off air, its global warming. It’s a crock of crap! Every dam time you turn around there is some complete niff in a suit on the television predicting impending doom and pointing their finger squarely at global warming.
Here are some other items that the ‘scientific community’ not so long ago suggested were fact.
Don’t sail to far from land you risk sailing off the edge of the Earth
The sun revolves around the earth.
Or in the nineteen seventies, yes only three and a bit decades ago. We faced a huge problem that was of major concern. The globe is cooling and we were in danger of the “next ice age”
Even the great Albert Einstein’s theory of relativity has been found not to apply at a quantum level. Don’t worry the scientists have a new theory on this baby.
I am not saying global warming is not true, but all we hear is that global warming is pretty much a reality and 100% fact. It is a self-propagating consensus that I would like see challenged openly. There are a number of scientists and people in positions of knowledge who have an opposing view.
The scientists can test and theorise until the cows come home. The true answer should be known in many decades time. In the mean time, if 26-degree days in the middle of summer are a sign of things to come, you will forgive me if I keep my car, air conditioners, computers and televisions going.

Don’t worry about the girlfriend bit, soon you will be able to buy a robot to pleasure your senses, also be able to talk trash to her without fear of her loving you less. iamasmartman can get the male model seeings he is that way inclined.

I guess your take on rising temperatures depends on where you are. 40 degrees in Melb this week….yet mid 20′s in Bris. Meanwhile the US is having a freezathon.
I’ve never agreed with the term global warming, because not everything is getting hotter.
It’s climate change
For the last eon we’ve been hearing about el nino and how we’re all doomed. Now within the last fortnight suddenly we’ve got his friendly cousin La nina and the country has been saved!

SJ, If I am contributing to your decreased audience, then I apologise. I seriously doubt it though. I know a little about this business. If your readers can’t take a little tough love then they are unlikely to be long term readers on any good chatroom/blog site anyway. If your site is like 99% of other sites, it’s about generating income via advertisements. If this is the case, then it’s a long term & growing following that you need to attract & sustain.
