Golden Slipper 2009

Once again the world turns its attention to Sydney for the richest two year old horse race in the world the Golden Slipper. Latest information is that the track with be a minimum Heavy 9 throwing most of the lead up form into the “means next to nothing” basket. I have decided to cut you all a break and tip you in to the majority of winners at Rosehill tomorrow.

Race 1
Ice Chariot has been working well late for a lot of his races now but never coming up with the chocolates. He has no proven wet form but I think tomorrow is his day.

Race 2
Buffett. Simple, I am hungry and this reminded me of food.

Race 3
Glowlamp. Today is a day for horses who have been knocking on the door to get let in. Glowlamp’s knuckles are sore.

Race 4
Forensics. Great horse and I just think he has the measure of all of these on the big day.

Race 5
Fiumicino. Derby winner over same distance same conditions with Beadman back on board. History never repeats? Wrong split enz, wrong. Get on!

Race 6
Good race, difficult decision. With no real confidence I present Pompeii Ruler (had it been dry Light Fantastic)

Race 7
More Joyeous has my $50 free bet locked in. Marquardt as a good each way go.

Race 8
Is Racing to Win back? I think he may be.

Race 9
I quite like Musket as a horse but am not sure about him on the track. Will take on trust.

    Thanks for the “valuable” tips SJ, however I think I’ll wait to get mine from the ex-Melbourne Cup winning jockeys & owners that I’m sharing the corporate box with tomorrow!

    I just emailed your tips onto the head of NSW racing to get his comments. This was his reply; “…whoever gave you these has no idea!…”

    I just emailed your response from the NSW head of racing to the head of the Australian Society for Soft-cheeses and I quote “…whoever said that knows nothing about cheese”.

    I looked in the paper and that Marquardt is paying $35. I still seem to recall being told that a horse at those odds will not win. Real Saga is at $3.5 so it will more than likely win.

    For someone who tells a lot of lies mate you have had a barry crocker here. Being from Sydney for me it is second nature to know which races are held where and the Golden Slipper is held at Rosehill.

    How was it hanging around at Randwick on your own you smarty pants.

    You assumptive idiots!! I’d been at Rosehill all day, it was 6.30pm & to be honest I was very keen to leave the place as fast as possible. I don’t like spending time in the Western suburbs unless I’m there evicting your ilk! I was passing through Randwick on the way to Nick Poltis’ pad at Clovely to continue partying when I posted the message you losers.
    Julie, with your comment you may just have damaged your chances of us ever having a relationship! For one, you don’t sound too bright listening to Jerkthro & Rob the Nob & secondly you support the Broncos!
    As I said to Luke Ricketson on Saturday night, the mighty Roosters are Top 4 certainties now.
