How to quieten 50,000 people
I wouldn’t normally attack a player or blame them totally for a loss and I am not about to start now but Ashton Sims is the most horrendous carrier of the ball in the history of Rugby League. I have worn out the end of my thumb texting a mate of mine every single time Simms knocks-on running the ball up “F’kn SIMMS!!!!!!” In fact you can count on him to knock on in 70% of all games he plays, which in itself is bad, but when you consider he comes of the freaking bench it is harry horrendous darts!!!!! I would hate to see that stat if he started and played out each game.
Unfortunately for Simms and every single Broncos supporter, there was no knock-on more crucial than last nights. With one or two minutes on the clock the ball was passed to Simms for a key hit up near the Broncos line. Knowing that he hadn’t knocked on this game and knowing that he hadn’t knocked on in his last two games, I statistically feared the worst and winced as the car crash I knew was about to happen happened. As the ball bobbled out I looked down the Broncos defensive line and saw that we were in big trouble.
I know its only a game but it is the most heartbreaking loss I have ever experienced as a Broncos fan.

I don’t care for either team to much but I was glad to see the Bronco’s go down after there treatment of that young lady and bar manager. Just goes to show that Karma does work.

Why are the Broncos selling quality young players like Boyd, Kemp, Hennant & Ennis and hanging onto Mr Fumbles? Can we trade Ashton Simms for one of the other departing Broncos?

Rape is indeed disgusting Rob B, therefore all the more reason for you to wait before condeming them. Because of people like you broadcasting their opinions with no idea of the facts, these blokes’ careers will be remembered for sexual assault and nothing else regardless of the facts.
Here here Pieman. Also sexual assault can vary from a pinch on the arse to rape so you have to keep that in mind too.
If they did the crime then they should pay but it should be allowed to go through due process.

Hey guys don’t take your frustration for losing the game and your need to protect the guilty, out on me.
Tiger, can you honestly sit there and tell me that innocent till proven guilty still applies in this day and age. Wake up and smell the coffee sunshine its 2008 not 1953. With all the people suing for slander these days if its published in a newspaper you can pretty much mark it down as fact.

Rob B, you really are a twit. I’ve made it clear in a number of posts that I’m a Bronco hater so if my comments are really emotionally-based as you suggest, I’d be jumping on your band-wagon. Fortunately I’m able to think for myself.
If you want to simply accept everything you read in the media as gospel, every report I’ve read suggests that they are guilty of little more than stupidity (for getting drunk during the semi-finals and thinking that a foursome in a nightclub toilet would stay a secret) and a dubious sense of what is a) an appropriate experience to share with your mates and b) an appropriate thing to capture on film.
All the reports clearly suggest that the women in question participated consensually and that it was the fact that some pictures were taken that made her rethink it all.
That said, I’ll refrain from labelling ANY of the participants until the FACTS have been gathered and judged by professionals. At which point I’ll expect these professionals to make an appropriate decision on guilt and punishment. I’m not naive enough to think that this system works everytime, but no one’s come up with anything better to my knowledge.
It’s idiots like you who’ve caused Denis Ferguson to be on the streets rather than on trial. You have no idea whatsoever what happened and yet you insist on forming an absolute opinion and publically labelling 3 young men with a word that could quite possibly be completely incorrect.

These professional people you speak of, where do they get so much more wisdom than that of people who write articles in newspapers?
Never said they were wiser mate, just that they actually have the facts. Journalists have the bits and pieces they are given and then make up the rest from there. That’s the rubbish that we are fed and left to base our opinions on, hence the danger involved in believing them.
The other difference is that the police and the courts have no vested interest other than seeing the best possible decision made, whereas journalists are scumbag bottom-feeders who are no more interested in the truth than a piece of dog turd. As it turns out, that suits their bosses, who pay them to write headline grabbing crap that will sell papers and magazines.
If you think for a minute that journalists are actually in it because they believe that “the public deserves to know the truth” then you really need to stop smoking so much hooch.
I didn’t realise this was a conspiracy theory website. So everything in the paper is a smoke screen just to sell papers is it? Next you will be telling me September 11 was carried out by the CIA.
Look mate I just think that the paper is far more accurate than the rest of you conspiracy believing people.
It’s not conspiracy champ is about selling ads and if that means you sensationalise stories to get more people to buy your paper or visit your website then that’s what you do.
