Israel, Palestine – never the two shall meet
I profess to have absolutely no solution to the problems between Israel and Palestine. There are a number of issues that seem to be mentioned as the root cause for this ongoing conflict none of which seem solvable. A basic disagreement between the Muslim and Jewish faith also seems to get in the way with a number of religious sites throughout the region controlled by some groups with the opposing groups also laying claim to these same sites.
It is a problem that has been around for thousands of years and I doubt it’s going to go away anytime soon.
One thing I do consider in these situations is what would I do if my family, innocent of any crimes, were accidentally killed in the crossfire from either side. Would I be willing to forgive this and just remain silent or peaceful while more rockets or bombs (as the case maybe) landed around me? I don’t know if I could. What about you?
So as this battle continues; and the body count mounts; and the numbers of mourners grows exponentially, does either side not think that they are just perpetuating the hatred?
People don’t forget and it is very hard for most people to forgive. As the mourners left behind raise there own families and the lessons learnt years earlier are passed on from generation to generation how is it going to be possible for this conflict to ever end?

It will never end SJ, for all the reasons you raised and that’s very sad for innocent people caught in the process.
I did hear the IASM was flying out to try and restart peace talks, Bill Clinton and Nelson Mandella asked him personally.
I had never understood why they were fighting nor do I care. They are all the way over the other side of the world and while it may sound cold I say we let them kill the crap out of each other. The sooner the better!
Nice work Tiger. I believe dipstick is also a Nobel Peace Prize winner.
Trent, not sure how you can be so cold and or naive.
Imagine if someone was firing rockets into Punchy…….
and you will care when our troops get dragged in/petrol goes up/we have another training ground for terrorists to attack the western world/russia sides with the Palestinians……
You guys would not believe how close you are to the truth about my families involvement in charity & peacekeeping!!
We know dipstick. They PUT UP with you!
It is a great shame that this continues. Makes me sad for all those young children who experience it. Surely cooler heads should prevail. Maybe a stronger world council should be formed to better control counties like these.
Is a bit of an unfair fight, would they be as keen to walk into Gaza if the Palestinians had the same fire power?
I don’t expect you guys to understand. You’ve never actually fought in a war.
And of course you have dipstick. We would never doubt that
If you are being sarcastic Skunk then you are just a jealous loser who can’t see past his own tiny bevan world!
Ok then dipstick, what war have you fought in?
The ‘war on everything’ I guess…….
or the war against large international chicken franchises…….some people are being seriously hurt from all that fat……..no one on this site of course……
Its not to good either way to me. It is a fairly mismatch in my opinion also. As Krusty said they wouldnt be so keen to fight if it where on even terms
The conclusive solution to silence radical Palestinian groups will be to establish an international military force to police Gaza and the West Bank headed by a contagion of forces from the more secular Arab countries to ensure the smooth transition to a strong Palestinian state. If there is a well crafted plan to create a Palestinian state, I think most of the Arab countries will readily send troops to help develop a viable Palestinian state.
A peaceful Middle East will definitely have a lot of ramifications. A peaceful Middle East will stem the tide and accelerate a decline in radical Islam. There is no greater hope than that the Israelis and Palestinians get tired of their tortuous past full of wars then sit down and work towards a peaceful Middle East.
