Mitchell Johnson in or out?
In my opinion he is out. If you watched any of him bowling during the last test you would have seen he was atrocious. He was pulling balls wide with pore timing in his action and then he was letting them slip out of the index finger too far right and going nowhere near the stumps. As McGrath showed us, you have to make the batsmen at least feel threatened enough to offer a defensive shot. All Mitchell was offering was easy leaves or lean back cuts and pulls for four.
His performance in the tour match over the weekend apparently was no better. Its hard to know without seeing it but all reports are that he was still out of touch. I know comparisons to McGrath are a little unfair as he was one of the best ever but Stuart Clarke has been nearly as reliable as McGrath used to be. In my view his consistency is an invaluable cog in the wheel if Hilfenhaus’s swing at the other end, is going to come into its own.
I am not sure about the pitch for the next test at Edgbaston but I have been a fan of McDonald’s bowling so far and swing is an important factor. If the pitch is a turner than I am leaving Hauritz in, just, but if there is any hint that it wont turn then the Ginger Nut is in! His batting will be an asset also.
Sorry Mitch. You need to sort your self out and get the rhythm back you had. It can be a very tough thing to find at times and it may even take an apology to mummy to get there. Good luck, I hope you catch a break!

Johnson is a match winner. If you want Clark in then you replace him for Siddle. They have a very similar style. If you had Clark and Siddle then it would be too predictable. An attcke needs to be versatile. Hifenhaus and Johnson NEED to be in the match. Flip the coin for the others
Get Johnson out of there. He disrespected his mother and deserves what is coming to him.
Siddle and Clark are very different bowlers in my opinion Tunksy.
It is spelt Clark not Clarke that Clarke is Michael not Stuart.
I think Johnson should play on. He proven in SA that he had the ability to destroy batting orders and he can do it again.
Oh no…..more spelling lessons……..please get be out of this upside down universe I am stuck in????
SJ’s posts are intelligent?
IASM doesn’t exist?
This is too strange……..
I’m with The Tongue, Johnson has to stay in. I can’t believe it’s even being questioned!! After Punter, he is the first player picked. Out of form he’s still taken more wickets than most of the others.
His jealous, headline grabbing mother should pull her head in and keep her opinions private.
PS. What a shock to find out that Rob B is a mummy’s boy.
