Molehills?

Published by SJ at 5:01 am under General

Did Andrew Symonds murder someone? Did he bash them? Did he touch them on the arse? I am not sure if he did any of these but I understand he did tell someone to leave him alone. Is that now the crime of the century?

Or is the crime that fact that he was having a beer?

In his own words…

“A member of the public acted unreasonably towards me while I was with friends at which time I took steps to remove myself from the situation,”

“The member of the public was subsequently removed from the premises as a result of his actions.

“I was sharing some drinks with other players and close friends and did not in any way provoke this situation.”

Given the fact that this occurred in a public bar I find it difficult to believe he would have made these statements had events have occurred otherwise.

Reports from ‘other’ sources quote Symonds as being loud and obnoxious with friends distancing themselves from the situation. Last I checked, neither of these were illegal.

Please oh please leave the big fella alone, we need him at 100% for the Adelaide test on starting on Friday.

FYI New Zealand are paying $11 the win. The way Australian sport has been going lately this seems a little over the odds to me.

Yeah!!! Beat Rob B to the first post.

(insert best Rob B impression here)

SJ, Roy is a role model for Australian kids, he shouldn’t even breath in public.

    Second post!

It is a difficult one. Symonds has a duty to be a role model in the community. It would have been easier if he just did what this person wanted. We wouldn’t have heard anything about it otherwise would we?

Yes Rob B we should all just do what other people say. Good solution…..

Tiger comes out with his best post in ages!!

Just another example of the media doing everything they can to make it into a story SJ. A group of cricketers having an uneventful evening with some friends doesn’t sell papers unfortunately.

Journalists the world over should hang their heads in shame, as should the people who buy all the tabloid publications and provide the demand for celebrity gossip and muck-raking like this.

If only Rob B would do what WE tell him…..now that’s a good solution!

Agree with the Pieman on this though……………….I have stopped my subscription to picture mag in protest……I’m going to miss the use of the word Tockley in my life but hey sometimes you just gotta stand by your principles.

I can sympathise with Andrew here. My family & I are pretty well known in Sydney & we have to be very careful how we conduct ourselves in public. The scrutiny of the famous & the wealthy is very intense.
