NSW = Sooksy La La’s

Published by SJ at 10:38 pm under General

I have decided I hate anyone who celebrates NSW as their home. They are all a bunch off self-absorbed show pony niffs. What is with this absolute demand that their opening batsman Phil ‘the overrated’ Jaques slide into the test opening spot? It’s not enough those whinging blues have managed to get Michael ‘sniff bingle’ Clarke in the side…. now they are whinging and moaning more than Shirvy at a fat camp. As far as I am concerned promote one of the lower order blokes to opener and blood another lower order batsman in the comfort and protection of a Hayden spearheaded run feast!!

On to other matters, bowlers. Stuart ‘MaGooo’ Magill, whilst he is an uppity, smart mouthed, big nosed, know it all I hope he gets selected over Brad Hogg. Even if it is just to see his record tumble from one comparable to the great Shane Warne (all bow) to that of Tim May. I can also see Mr MaGoo leading the players association as well, he has always been such a players player…. much like Mathew Elliot.

Early tip for the Victoria Derby – Bammegera, absolutely flew home in the AAMI Norman Robinson Stakes on Caulfield Cup Day and is primed to take the Derby at good odds this week.

    totally agree with your cricket comments (Fatman supports fatman), but I have always thought Australia should have a winter time touring B side full of up and comers and maybe the odd Glen McGrath thrown in for good measure and experience. That way when we tour shit holes like India, Pakistan and England the boys will know how to handle a decent curry, will be accustomed to playing on crappy pitches, with a proven track record against chuckers, half arsed fast bowlers, spin and in the case of the English attack medium pacers. with no need to send home for baked beans. Replacement players can then be picked from this group.

    For what its worth here are my tips for saturday

    I agree as well, NSW are a load of sooks. Jaques is not that good I don’t reckon.

    My only concern with your B grade winter touring side Woody, is that the B grade side will beat the home A team constantly. Then who will our A grade side beat?

    It will be Australia A v Australia B again…. I guess as long as its competitive who cares!

    The touring b side would only play away teams such as county sides in england and the sub continent it doesn’t really matter if they win/lose it’s just to harden the f@#kers up so they can play at the top level. In summer they would stay here to play state cricket which is probably the toughest domestic cricket around. They could also play the cricket minnow countries to help promote the game their. No one wants to see Matt the bat scoring 676 against Ireland, but it would be great experience for a young 18 year old to face deliveries from a bowler he has never heard of
