Overtising Australia

Published by SJ at 4:58 am under General

Another prime example of overtising for the movie ‘Australia’ is currently underway. ACA did an hour long live, investigative, hard hitting expose on it last night and Nicole & Hugh have been shining their teeth all over the networks.

I propose the first meeting of the No-stralia club – People against the movie Australia. To be a member you must have never seen the movie Australia, not find Nicole Kidman attractive in any way and have the conspiracy theory that Baz Lurhman is a closet homosexual. If you can live with all this, then welcome to the club. If not I suggest you duck down the local shops, buy yourself a ticket and become an Overtising appeaser you week minded fool.

And if you show your face around here again I may just land an uppercut in the same proportions as the following one from UFC91. It looks like one of those uppercuts from a video game but this no game. Night night champ.

The premiere’ event last night was very enjoyable. The movie was a little disappointing.

SJ, you are exhibiting some tell tale tall poppy thinking.

I thought you and your love of Warren Buffet would be all for people who are successful?

IASM, I heard Australia II is going to move from the stolen generations subplot to how immigrants helped to build this country after the war. I’m sure you are already talking to Baz re funding and key roles………….

Not only did Tracy waste our time with a double dose of her usual nothing, but she delayed Two And A Half Men by 10 minutes!!! That alone should’ve been today’s topic SJ.

PS. IASM, I think it was very nice of the organisers to let the ‘help’ see the movie. I hope you thanked them appropriately.

he didn’t enjoy the movie because he couldn’t see the whole screen from the mobile chicken shop parked across the street from the premiere held at the local drive in

Come on guys, do you really need to continue this rhetoric?

I am personally very much looking forward to seeing the movie and think some of you people would do well to watch and understand just what some of these people went through.

Wow great knock out though, well done mate.

  6. Fat Simonon 19 Nov 2008 at 12:21 pm

Not knocking the movie at all Rob B, in fact I will probably watch it. I’m not even knocking the hype if it helps promote an Aussie movie, but the interviews were crap and full of nothing questions, and all we really heard about (over and over) was how amazing it was that they blocked off George St for the event. Wow, what an achievement!!!

And to answer your first question, yes we do. It’s fun and he deserves it.

If you can’t handle the hard-hitting humour Rob Baffoon, I suggest you frequent the Dolly Doctor forum or something of the like.

FYI; I had a 2nd date tonight & it went very well.

  9. Tunksyon 19 Nov 2008 at 8:58 pm

    What was his name iamadipstick?

  10. Velcroon 19 Nov 2008 at 10:28 pm

a second date…..and you’re back home on the net at 8.46pm because??????

i think that means your date didn’t go all that well!

  11. iamasmartman.comon 20 Nov 2008 at 7:17 am

Hey Lotharios, how many days should I wait to text/call her?

Skunksy(the blow-in,) don’t think you are a part of this site. You don’t even contribute daily. You need to earn our respect with some frequent posting miles before your comments will be acknowledged.

Velcrap, shutup you w@#ker. How’s your sad life going? She has school today.

  12. iamasmartman.comon 20 Nov 2008 at 7:19 am

By the way Velcrap, have you heard of Daily Light Saving you backward b#$tch? It was 9.46pm down here.

  13. Velcroon 20 Nov 2008 at 8:44 am

no….i’ve never heard of ‘daily light saving’. Is that some sort of environmental lobby group you’re involved with?

However, if you’re blaming daylight saving for your failed date, i think you’re grasping at straws. Which ever way you look at it, if you’re home infront of the computer before 10pm after a date…..the chick doesn’t dig you! Work on your conversation to stretch the date out longer junior burger.

I’m still laughing that you think my life is sad after your effort last night!!

I hope her parents cooked a nice dinner for you two.

Come on seriously….is anyone on this site really qualified to give dating advice………….

  15. Fat Simonon 20 Nov 2008 at 11:56 am

At last some sense from someone!

  16. Velcroon 20 Nov 2008 at 2:49 pm

The last date i went on finished with dancing to Milli Vanili

  17. Have the rules or stakes of dating changed?…. most of us have wives so I think that makes us qualified

  18. tigeron 20 Nov 2008 at 3:57 pm

    Woody….WTF ….of course wives don’t count.

Velcro…….I can’t believe you danced with Milli Vanilli……that is super gay mate, can’t believe you admitted to it.

  19. Fat Simonon 20 Nov 2008 at 4:08 pm

One correction to your comment Tiger -> that you danced AT ALL, is super gay velcro.

PS. Have you had a look at the cricket score SJ? Would 70 not out, be a good effort or a bad effort in a side that’s 8/168 (they were 3/23 when he came in) on a Gabba green-top??

  20. Fat Simonon 20 Nov 2008 at 4:12 pm

    75 not out

  21. Fat Simonon 20 Nov 2008 at 4:18 pm

    80 not out

  22. Fat Simonon 20 Nov 2008 at 4:39 pm

  23. iamasmartman.comon 20 Nov 2008 at 5:13 pm

Clean bowled on 98 by an “athlete” shaped like Velcrap.

  24. iamasmartman.comon 20 Nov 2008 at 5:40 pm

Congratulations guys on your television performance tonight. You can watch yourselves on Today Tonight at 6.30pm tonight.

  25. Velcroon 20 Nov 2008 at 6:06 pm

A hint of sarcasm in my last post. When Milli Vanili was around i think i was afraid of catching girl germs

  26. Krustyon 20 Nov 2008 at 6:54 pm

Was that at the Blue Light Disco Velcro? What was the BLD like the other night IASM.com?

  27. iamasmartman.comon 20 Nov 2008 at 7:42 pm

Krusty, nobody understands what you’re talking about.
Velcrap & Woodless, you were both beaten severely by the Tigress in todays battle. That’s something to be embarrassed about!

  28. tigeron 21 Nov 2008 at 9:09 am

They can join you IASM on the list of those defeated by my wit and cunning use of humour to make a point.

  29. Krustyon 21 Nov 2008 at 8:19 pm

Which part did you not understand? What a Blue Light Disco is or the fact I used the acronym of BLD which equals Blue Light Disco. Have you been smelling to many fumes from the chip cooker?

  30. Velcroon 21 Nov 2008 at 10:04 pm

How ironic is it that with the topic of discussion is overtising the movie Australia, and yet i find a ad mentioning it on the front page of this site? Looks to be an ad that comes up every so often, not every time.

SJ…you’ve given yourself an uppercut there champ :)
