You are spot on SJ. The Bronco’s must have got him for a song, hence his employ at Carina. He is THE WORST defender I have ever seen in the NRL and I agree with your observation of him on the kick return. Between him and Thaiday, they are the quickest guys to hit the deck when they make contact with the defence. The only saving grace for DeVere is that he can kick for goal. And he’s dead cheap of course.
