The curious case of crap movies

Published by SJ at 10:04 pm under General

I have grave concerns for my future entertainment.

Of recent years, movie cinemas have interested me very little. Its not that I don’t like going to the movies, I was just sick of being disappointed. I did venture out last week to watch Terminator Salvation and while I will stop short of saying it was a bad movie I would not rate it above average. It was ok but I may have expected a little too much from it, perhaps a completion to the story would have been nice. Anyone can write a movie that just rambles from one year to the next, have a look at the writers of 60 minutes!

Another picture I had eagerly wanted to see at the movies and did not get around to it was Robert Downey Jr’s Iron Man. Last night I stayed up a little later and watched a mate’s version I had borrowed. The words “piece of crap” come to mind. The rave reviews this movie received indicated it was a locked in special for Blu Ray purchase but how glad I am that $35 odd remains firmly in my wallet.

Its time to wake up Hollywood or whatever it is you niffs want to be called. You threw a strike last year for your writers??!!! Your writers want more money???!!! Wake up and smell the crap you are shovelling! If anything you are getting paid to much! I could write a better movie while feeding the homeless. Hollywood, if you keep dribbling out crap I will go on ignoring you like yesterdays salad!

Movies like The Bourne series, Bond of any period with any lead actor, ANY movie with Will Smith and ALL animated movies are crap!! and if you like them then I consider you my enemy and I will flog you in the street if you talk to me.

I’ve always been a fan of the Brits, and they’re a better alternative to Hollywood than Bollywood.

Totally agree. Have not seen a decent movie in years. Though Heath Ledger’s risky move in starring in Brokeback Mountain did break down many barriers.

I love action movies. Iron Man was good and he is so cute!

Yuk Broke Back Mountain. That movie was gross!

Rob you are a closet homo.

I can not believe there is anyone in the world who doesn’t like Sean Connery as Bond, James Bond.

    The Bourne movies are great.

What movies do you like? Hugh Grant types? Love Actually (if I have to watch this crap one more time!!!)

Trent, you are right on the money. The only thing to add is that Will Smith is the coolest dude on the planet. SJ, I look forward to chatting to you on the street…..

SJ, how old are you? In my youthful opinion, you have just criticised some of the greatest movies & actors on the planet.
Punchmyhole & the Fat One, you have finally spoken some sense.

Wow, you started off so well with your review of Ironman, what a piece of crap that was…but to have a go at Will Smith, thats just not right! Besides Hancock which was a letdown, he has made some brilliant movies. I, Robot, I am Legend, Independence Day, Seven Pounds, and probably one of the best movies he’ll ever do, Pursuit of Happyness. But we’re all entitled to our opinion, so keep them coming.

I was watching Porky’s Revenge last night, at 1am it dawned on me that the movie was crap and that I was wasting valuable sleeping time by watching it. I hope Revenge of the Nerds 3 today is better….. Not going to hold my breath..
