The first posting I made on this subject was meant to be constructive not negative. They are just my thoughts and they may very well differ from yours but I put them out there for constructive comments/opinions Please note at times my comments will be made tongue in cheek. To get the experienced people we need into government we need to pay them equal to what they would get paid in the private sector which can be a lot more than pollies currently earn, but the government still needs to be balanced and we need people from all walks of life so i don't know how you achieve this. It is my opinion that a large number of pollies in this country are just in for themselves, and I am talking all sides of the house not just 1 party For the record: I am not currently in a union but I have been.... and I have not mentioned at any stage who I voted for nor have I asked you to vote for any particular person/party, but I am one of those niffs who voted for the person I thought would do the best job and because I thought the last bloke was no good Hank I am sorry if you find my comments negative there not ment to be. You only have to look at the processes that OH&S has put into our daily lives. I now get paid about 5-8 hours a week of O.T. to come in early just to writing permits so my crew can start work on time. Big organisations and governments are all the same.
