The ‘MV Sirus Star’ Hijack

Published by SJ at 5:16 am under General

Well I sit here stunned tonight. Apparently a bunch of Somali pirates have hijacked the above 330m super tanker and the United States hasn’t invaded their country or moved against the ship yet….

Seriously, I am interested in how these chaps think they will be able to get away with it. They hijack a double hulled ship and demand $25 million or they “will take action that could be disastrous” is that all it takes?

If they plan on blowing a hole in the hull of the ship they have obviously never dealt with a double hull before.

Perhaps they are planning on running the ship aground. But again I think the double hull design limits the effectiveness of this action. If they blow a hole in the inner hull and run the ship aground there is a good chance they could create a decent oil slick. It all depends on how much explosive equipment they bought with them.

Other than that, maybe they just intend pump the oil out somewhere…. who knows.

Even if they are able to get the $25 million what do they do then? Hop back in their dingy and sail off into the sunset with the cash. I am sure the owners will just sit back on their hands and allow that one. Perhaps they would take the ships crew as hostages with them, but even then their plan seems to be pretty shaky.

I think there may be more to this hijacking and other hijackings that have been occurring. I don’t know what it is but it just seems a bit odd to me. You blokes?

This is a strange one though I have no doubt these people are forced to pirate these ships to try and support their families due to poor conditions at home. I don’t understand why anyone would do this otherwise.

I’m no human behaviour expert but greed might be a motivation……………….

Personally I love these guys, modern day Robin Hoods, wonder if they need a Fryer Tuck? SJ? Pieman?

    Nice!

Internet scams must be running out of legs. Next stop- Hijacking..Lets hope Sinbad and his mates dont burn it down as it will spike the price of oil at the pump and my supercharged Hummer will cost an extra $50 bucks at the pump.

Rob B, its always very valuable to have you on board to encourage the bevans to open their eyes to see issues from a different perspective. Nice job, keep it up. You too can make a difference alongside my own admirable crusade.
Tigress, who is writing your material? There has certainly been a prodigious improvement from you in terms of levity. I would suggest that coming from an incredibly low base has facilitated this!
Fat One, you are now taking instructions well. That’s your shortest & cleverest response to date.
The Key, you are in the same league as the Skunk. You are an irregular blow-in who hasn’t yet earned the respect of my team & I here. I challenge you to convert from intermittent blogger to loyalist NASM/IASM.com user. Increase the frequency of the posts or disappear like many before you; Farteeen, Realbiggutz, Megabevan, Max, Doctor etc.

Good Morning. What a shock win last night to the Kiwis. Their supporters were going crazy at the ground. I’m about to fly out of Bris Vegas. I know Velcrap & a couple of you other losers live up here. How humid is this town??
I got to meet Andrew Symonds for the 1st time last night & he’s a nice guy. It’s good to know all Queenslanders aren’t like Velcrap!

  7. Velcroon 23 Nov 2008 at 12:37 pm

You’re such a tool….do you know how we know you’re a compulsive liar??…..because the last few days haven’t been humid you niffer! Today especially…the wind is blowing like crazy.

Don’t know if you’ve seen any news lately, but we’ve had the odd storm or two. Shame you weren’t playing in the drains when it hit.

Velcrap, I don’t need to lie, I could Google the weather if I really wanted to “fool” you you TOOL! I WAS there & it WAS humid!
You would not realise this but your cab air-conditioning would shield you from the actual external atmospheric humidity you twit. You might also like to know that out here it doesn’t actually smell like a healthy mix of BO, kebab & vomit either.
Please dont take the frustration of a tough Saturday night shift driving obnoxious (& sadly victorious) Kiwis around. Chill-out…..& at least please refrain from using exceptionally insensitive comments. How would the family of the youth who drowned in the drain feel. Think before you write you baboon!!

  9. Velcroon 23 Nov 2008 at 7:23 pm

I did think about it you niff and my comment stands….I wish you were playing in that drain and drowned.

Quite simple really. I’m sure many others here would wish something similar happen to you.

I’ve always been candid & honest about my loathing of many of the Bevan traits that you & your ilk possess. I am trying to improve you all. But you are a worse creature altogether than your garden variety bevan. You share their laziness, financial stupidy, poor health & hygiene but you also have a very sharp & cruel edge to you that I don’t think even they would endorse. Your insensitivity in this & many other incidences is shamefull! Perhaps I will put a call into Black & White and direct senior management to some of your comments.

Dipstick – You really are a self professing imbicile who clearly believes in his own hype. What gives you the right to make the following comments? –
“You are an irregular blow-in who hasn’t yet earned the respect of my team & I here.”
Clearly you are extremely lonesome and although I, along with 99% of people on this site loath you, I also am feeling pity for you. If this is the only way that you can big note yourself (Mr I met Andrew Symonds Kong Kong Fui) then you truly have reached lower depths than Boring.

Good luck with your life hero to ALL!

  12. iamasmartman.comon 23 Nov 2008 at 8:34 pm

Skunk, by calling Andrew Symonds King Kong you have continued the racial villification that he has already received when called a Monkey once before. You are disgraceful!!

  13. iamasmartman.comon 24 Nov 2008 at 8:01 am

    Skunk = Blow-in
Looks like he’s just blown on away again. Goodbye & Good luck…..say Hi to Farteeen, Realbiggutz, Megabevan, Max, Doctor etc. for me.

  14. Fat Simonon 24 Nov 2008 at 9:54 am

SJ, tell me you had a packet on Mr Gilly on Saturday???

  15. Tunksyon 26 Nov 2008 at 7:51 pm

You are a dipstick IASM. The Hog Kong Fui was a reference to YOU!

  16. tigeron 27 Nov 2008 at 2:03 pm

Sir Tunksalot – you are indeed correct about IASM but please show some attention to detail.

You tried to nail IASM twice and both times your punchline went a stray…

    First – Kong Kong Fui
    Second – Hog Kong Fui

I beleive you mean Hong Kong Fui…………..gotta love those fat fingers hey!!!
